The Club Keel Boats

TCYC has 2 Cork 1720 keel boats (on the right) that are sailed "with" the racing fleet on a Wednesday evening, meeting at Polly steps for 1730, returning 2300 - 2100 ish with the opportunity of a meal, drink and chat in the club house afterwards. To get to Polly steps drive along Old Quay Street, through the Dock area and you will get to Polly Steps car park. what3words location https://w3w.co/centrally.saloons.subject.

On Thursday evenings (1800 to 2030ish) under the Sports England "this girl Can" banner we have a ladies sailing group.

You don't have to be a club member to take part and no experience is necessary. We have life jackets and some waterproofs if necessary. We go out to the boats in a tender from the slip at Polly Steps way so you might get your feet wet. You just need to bring enthusiasm! We ask for a £12 donation to wards the running costs and for non members a £2 temporary membership charge.. Once you have sailed with us a couple of times , if you want to carry on then we will ask you to join the club.

To book a place on either of the boats go to Keel Boat event page on the Calendar and click on "Book"

We also organise racing and social events at weekends through the summer - see the Calendar for details.

We will run Keel Boat training courses next year.

Suitably competent club members can hire these boats.

Contact the Rear Commodore Cruisers through the Contacts page for more information
